I'm Sandra Hurkova, and I like our planet.
When not obsessing over pixels or spending hours choosing a typeface, you'll find me out in the wild or showing love to my furry friends. I'm all about living to the fullest, and finding happiness in the little things, and staying true to myself.
Oh, and I'll probably die by trying to pet something I shouldn't.

I started Sanday Design because I wanted to break free. Free from convention, free from 9-5 (and dive head first into 8-12 :D ), but most importantly be free to do my thing, my way, to shape brands, the planet-friendly way. I liked my work since the day I found out it was possible to have a career in ‘making things pretty’, but a couple of years in, I realized something was missing. I didn’t want to make pretty brands, I wanted to make passionate and conscious brands work for the amazing humans that started them. I knew I could do better, but since I wasn’t a vet (as initially planned) or in Greenpeace, I knew I had to find my way to make a difference by doing what I could do, design. I might be self-taught but thanks to learning something I am passionate about it’s been easy to adopt the ‘forever a student’ curious-filled mindset.
The name Sanday [read: Sunday], is the combination of my name and the best day of the week (IMO) because I wanted every day to be a reminder of how important it is to feel alive! I enjoy the vibes Sunday gives off, the chill, the freedom, the fun, the calm before the storm... all that I wanted my brand to be. Moreover, it’s not just a brand name for my design business, it symbolizes my commitment to doing my best because life is too short for a bad day (or a bad design).
